About Me
Ginette Masters

From a young age, I have been passionate about understanding the people and what causes their actions. From the time, I was in fifth grade I knew what I wanted to be a psychologist. Now, at the age, I did not truly understand what that meant, but I knew I wanted to help people. From Elementary to High school I participated in numerous programs with the aim of children bettering themselves physically and mentally. From being a peer counselor to being the president of the S.W.A.T (Students working against Tabaco) team.  In high school, I was given the privilege to become a people to people ambassador in which American students participated in a global exchange program. During my time in the program, I could go Spain and Portugal and learn a lot about the two different cultures and teach them a little about mine. This experience sparked an interest in different lifestyles.  Following my dreams and studying psychology exposed me to a lot of new information and to brought me to the point I am in my life today, making this site.  As a member of the 2017 Global Health Study Abroad taking place in Mysore, India I will be looking at Intimate Partner Violence and how gender roles affect it.
