38,028,000. According to the Huff Post that is the number of women who will experience intimate partner violence in their life time. During my time in India I’m going to be looking intimate partner violence and gender roles in young men and women. According to research conducting by the World Health Organization the most common violence against intimate partner is a slap.  The Huff Post also states that three women in the US die every day by the hands of a current or previous male partner.  I believe that when I’m exposed to research conducting in India that the findings will be extremely similar to what is going on in the US. In my opinion I think that the death toll daily will be much higher in India than in the US.
